On a 13-cabin property in the heart of Chequamegon (Shah-wa-me-gone) National Forest. Hillside is one of 13 cabins which comprise Delta Lodge. Many of the cabins are at water's edge. Hillside is on its own tier, located on a hill above the other cabins, with a private driveway. With three bedrooms and a loft. Because the loft functions as a fourth bedroom, the cabin is rated for up to 8 persons. There are 2 bathrooms, a sauna and a washer/dryer. All the cabins have a kitchen, living room and screened porch. There is a deck for grilling and a campfire pit - we provide the fire wood. A row boat is included with the cabin rental for your exclusive use. Small hp motors are available for rent (no-wake lake). There are 9 kayaks and a canoe which guests share. There is a 70' swimming pier and floating raft, which brings everyone back to the simpler things in life. Wifi is available in central location, on premise, but not in the cabin.

The six-bedroom, two-bath, "Animal House" (named in honor of John Belushi) is the original lodge building, predating 1900. Wes and Ike Rhinehart lived in this building and rented out rooms to tourists, when they began at Delta Lodge. Wes may have guided fishing trips - there is more than enough folk lore. While no amount of loving touchup will return this old dame to the lass she used to be, the old "Animal House" serves large groups with the right attitude well. Don't be putting no fancy people in this cabin though - if someone in your group dresses up to go grocery shopping or regularly has manicures this is not the cabin for your group. You are creating memories, make sure they are good memories. There is a deck for grilling and a campfire pit - we provide the fire wood. The living room has a couch and easy chair as well as a small dining table. The screened porch adds 8x20 square feet of space - dining table and futon and easy chair. This space really makes the cabin feel spacious. Standard bath with a shower/sink/toilet/mirror - it is on the list to be upgraded this winter - but it works well enough for now.

Historic log cabin on 60 acres in the heart of Chequamegon National Forest. Pet Friendly. There are huge windows overlooking the forest and spring. Build a fire in the campfire pit outside. A spring flows by the cabin, emptying into a small pond, which overflows into the White River. The sound of wind rustling through the trees and the sound of water flowing by is constant and one of reasons White River Retreat is special. The main body of the log cabin was built in the 1930s by craftsmen who understood the beauty as well as the functionality of log cabins. A large porch (20x30) and a second story was added to the cabin in 2010. Floor 1: 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, living room with a fieldstone fireplace and 3-season porch. Basement - storage I have co-owned/operated a lodge with multiple cabins near White River Retreat, for over 25 years. I understand what people are looking for in a vacation rental. I do my best to guide you toward this rental option if I feel that it matches your needs. I also steer you away from the cabin rental if it seems that this is not a good match for your needs. This property is full of beautiful old growth maples, Oaks and white Pines. The area in which the cabin in located has a wonderful chain of lakes all inner connected great for Kayaking, Canoeing and Fishing. Cabin is nestled nicely in the woods with plenty of outdoor space to watch the sunset or enjoy a nice fire by the lake. Amenities include 2 single kayaks available with paddles and one double for 2 folks. Assortment of life jackets. Two wood stoves in the cabin with plenty of wood available in the covered wood shed. The cabin has an outdoor hot tub in operation during the spring, summer, and fall and a sauna available all year. Corn hole boards and zip line up to 250lbs. We have never had a problem with getting our own boats/jet skis into the water; however, please inquire in advance if you have any concerns or questions. There is also a public launch to the Pike Lake chain located 5 miles from the cabin across from Hyde's on County Hwy H.

It's large enough for skiing and tubing, but small enough that it doesn't have the heavy boat traffic of a larger lake. The beach and swimming area are pure sugar sand. There is a picnic table near the beach, and also a table and six chairs on the deck overlooking the lake, the perfect place for an evening cocktail or game of cards. This home is perfect for year-round recreation, being located directly on the snowmobile/ ATV trail and featuring a trailer-friendly circle drive - no difficult late-night trailer backing required! Home also features air conditioning, heated floors on the main level and even an automatic back-up generator, should the power go out during your stay. The main floor has complete living facilities,including laundry, perfect for someone of limited mobility. Welcome to our log cabin on beautiful and crystal clear Island Lake near Barnes, WI! This cabin is new to our family but has a great rental history with the prior owners! Island Lake is over 50' deep and approximately 60 acres. It is large enough for skiing and tubing but small enough for kayaking and paddle-boarding and doesn't have the heavy boat traffic of a larger lake. The lake is almost all sand-bottom and you can swim right from the shore! Our outdoor accommodations include a new gas grill, picnic table near the lake, a fire-pit and a dining table with 6 chairs on the deck overlooking the lake. We have 2 stand-up paddle-boards, a canoe and a paddleboat available for your use. We have a dock available if you would like to bring your own boat. This home is perfect for year-round recreation as it is located directly on the snowmobile/ATV trail and features a trailer-friendly circle drive (with a basketball hoop). The home features heated floors and a wood burning stove on the main level for the cold months and air conditioning for the hot months! We also have a back-up generator should the power ever go out during your stay. The main floor features complete living facilities including a main floor bedroom with a king bed, a bathroom with a tub and a washer and dryer. Enjoy the gorgeous lake views from the open floor-plan and complete wall of windows and doors to the deck overlooking the lake! Welcome to our lake home on Island Lake in Barnes, Wisconsin. Island Lake is approximately 60 acres and roughly 50 feet deep. The lake is large enough for skiing and tubing, but small enough that it doesn't have heavy boat traffic. A very gentle walk to the lake leads to a zero entry beach with sugar sand and crystal clear water. The cabin is very clean and cozy with all the amenities of home. It has 3 levels with a queen bed, single bed, and half-bath upstairs, a main floor queen bed and full bathroom, and a downstairs room with two twin beds, a sleeper sofa and a third full bathroom. There is an additional futon that extends into a sleep mattress and space for an air mattress. While the cabin sleeps 8 comfortably, there is certainly room for more, especially if there are kids and/or guests don’t mind staying in tighter quarters. The cabin includes a fully stocked kitchen, linens, bath towels and ceiling fans. Air conditioning was added in June of 2021. Our guests are set up with initial start up paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels & kleenex. Guests are asked to provide their own beach towels, additional paper products and disposable dining products (paper plates, cups, napkins, etc). A lakeside deck with a table and chairs awaits you for coffee, cocktails or a card game. There is a bon fire pit near the lake as well as an adjacent deck right near the water, a paddle boat, canoe, and three kayaks ready for your use, and wildlife galore. Recreational boating activities are permitted between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. so that everyone is able to enjoy the lake. Whether you stay at the cabin or venture out, you'll find tons of activities to enjoy! It's the perfect distance from Hayward, WI -- just 25 miles for necessities, dining and entertainment, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of a cabin nestled in the peaceful Northern Wisconsin woods. Great ATV, snowmobile and cross country ski trails are accessible from the home.

Enjoy the lake and woods from the covered porch, open deck, and personal dock. Kitchen, living, and dining rooms are all open and full of windows with two doors to the outside. Master suite has a private bath with its own patio door to the deck and a great view of the lake. This is our personal home. There is no smoking or pets in our home but both are okay outside. We have a large steel powder coated kennel (6’ x 10’) if you’d like to bring your dog. There is a master suite, a second bedroom, and the large open loft has three twin size beds with a sitting area and a peaceful view. Our little girl uses the loft as her play area, and it is a Barbie Doll and Disney Princess paradise! There are also books and gender neutral toys up there. We have family board games, card games, and plenty of coloring/drawing supplies. The kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances, and you are welcome to use our main floor laundry room facilities. Included in your stay are kayaks, a canoe, life jackets, water toys, floatables, fishing gear, children’s toys for outdoors and in, a piano, concession-style popcorn popper, bocce ball, a charcoal grill and charcoal on-hand, campfire wood, roasting sticks, and access to garden vegetables and flowers. We are only two miles from the Barnes town park on a beautiful north woods private road, adjacent to trails, ATV routes, public forests, snowmobile trails, and near many other lakes and activities. The road the cabin is located on is open to ATVs and snowmobiles and is connected to the trails a mile away. The Eau Claire Lakes with public boat launches are nearby. Includes an outdoor fire pit, charcoal grill, gas grill, large deck in the rear of the cabin with patio table and chairs and a nice covered porch in the front.
